Beacon Of Light

This entire concept project started because of my passion for helping women in need and a desire to influence my community. After conducting research, this idea transformed into a non-profit organization with a myriad of services, as well as an interior design project. Beacon of Light is a women's support center initiative that provides women of domestic violence with transitional housing in a safe and supportive community. Not only does the facility offer shelter and compassion, but it also provides career, legal, and financial advisement, job training, counseling, medical care, and child day care. Additionally, the support center has a boutique shop on the ground level of the building in which the women have the opportunity to sell their baked goods, art, crafts, clothing, and more. The women can also participate in hosted events such as make-up & dress up nights, self-defense classes, yoga, and more. Beacon of Light's mission is to positively guide, support, and uplift the women's spirits in hopes that they leave feeling empowered, worthy, and equipped with the right tools to change their lives.
